Premium or Earl Grey: What Should Your Go-To Black Tea Be?

There’s nothing quite as enjoyable as a cup of strong black tea to start or end your day. From its origin story to the art of preparing and storing your tea, here’s all you need to know about Dilmah South Africa’s top selling Ceylon black teas: Dilmah Premium tea, and Earl Grey.

How It’s Made
What makes Dilmah’s black tea the finest of Ceylon tea is how it’s handmade. The skilled method of plucking tea includes nipping the bud and two leaves around it. Once the leaves have been plucked and gathered, they are then dried until 50% of its moisture content is reduced. Once withered, the leaves are rolled by mechanical tea rollers that separate and break them, before being fermented, dried and sifted for packaging.
